A 2,000 car par for the "active travel hub" will be built in the countryside just South of Babraham to the West of the A11 / A 505.  This will be a Park & Ride starting point for the guided busway.

See map.

The destination is Cambridge South Station / CBC.

Why any driver would not drive direct to the existing Babraham Park & Ride which is 0.7 miles walk from CBC in less than 10 minutes has never been explained by GCP.

There is no guided bus stop near Babraham village as the only starting point is the new Park & Ride car park beside the A11.

CSET provides no benefit to Babraham residents, Babraham research centre or to Granta Park's 4,000 employees (South of A11) who are not within walking distance of the new Park & Ride.

See map.

A colossal viaduct will be built to cross the River Granta to connect Sawston with the Park & Ride. Heading towards Sawston the route runs across open fields.to a level crossing across Babraham High Street

There is interesting archaeology in this area, which could be damaged by the construction of the busway.

In contrast the alternatives proposed by BW4B! would avoid building a bridge over the River Granta and wouldn’t damage the landscape.

BW4B! alternative improves the bus service along the A1307; connecting Granta Park, Babraham Research Centre CBC and CBC and reinstating the Cambridge to Haverhill railway both of which prove better choice for a much larger group of travellers while reducing travel times and pollution.

There is a better way!
